On Sunday, April 19, the Central Garden of Villa San Jacinto in San Ángel was transformed into the stage for a unique artistic encounter. Under the title “Surfaces of Identity” (Superficies de Identidad), Galería EXU opened its doors to present a binary exhibition exploring the layers, strokes, and visual narratives of two exceptional creators: Alejandra Díaz and Antonio Chaurand.
The Art: Two Visions in Harmony
The exhibition is a fascinating dialogue. On one side, the work of Alejandra Díaz (@ale_sketch), whose ability to capture the essence of the everyday and the fantastic through organic forms invites us into a detailed introspection. On the other, the work of Antonio Chaurand (@antoniochaurand) complements the experience with his distinctive mastery of technique and concept.

Much More Than an Exhibition
The atmosphere of the opening would not have been complete without the sensory experience that surrounded it. Attendees enjoyed an unparalleled environment thanks to:
- Sound Experience: Performances by the Envolvente Collective and a DJ lineup featuring D’Enzo and Edilson turned the Café de las Artes into a space for rhythm and connection.
- Honorary Toast: The event received fundamental support from Cerveza Minerva (@cervezaminerva), whose craft flavors paired perfectly with the creative energy of the afternoon.
“Surfaces of Identity” serves as a reminder that art in Mexico City is more alive than ever, constantly seeking new spaces—such as the emblematic Galería EXU.
