Braulio Hidalgo
Braulio Hidalgo is an artist from Tlalpan, in the south of Mexico City, specializing in linoleum printmaking. His work emerges from sensitivity, solitude, and the need to understand himself and his surroundings through the creative process.
Inspired by pre-Hispanic cultures and Mexican traditions, he finds in them a spiritual connection and a way to defend what has been forgotten against cultural loss and contemporary insensitivity. In his work, skulls represent everyday life: a reminder that beneath our skin lives a skeleton that moves, dances, loves, and plays every single day.
His work seeks to awaken hearts and keep the spiritual and popular memory of Mexico alive.
