Diana Zela

Diana Zela is a Mexican illustrator and author from Mexico City. Her work emerges from a close connection with animals, plants, and illustrated books, creating sensitive universes where play, memory, and manual experimentation remain deeply present.

Trained in Design and Visual Communication at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, she has collaborated with national and international publishers such as Pearson, Macmillan, SM, and Arte Público Press. Her book Nero was published by Pixelatl Festival.

Through cutouts, collage, and stains, Diana has developed an intimate and poetic visual language that seeks to reconnect with the imagination and sensitivity of childhood. Her work has been selected as a finalist in various competitions and exhibitions in the United States, England, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates. She is currently represented by The Bright Agency.
