Héctor Cruz García (Chimalhuacán, 1932) is a visual artist (painter, muralist, sculptor) with over half a century of a career respected and recognized by peers and critics. His artistic journey passes through various fundamental stations of Mexican modern art: La Esmeralda (as a student and professor), the Taller de Integración Plástica and muralism, the principles of the influential Mexican school of painting, as well as the exploration of personal languages and styles.
