Judith Cerna

Judith Cerna is a graphic artist based in Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico. Her artistic vision flourishes within a vibrant environment of color and tradition, where the proximity to the ancient Lake Texcoco allows natural cycles to coexist in harmony with the festivities and customs that have shaped the identity of her community.

Her approach to traditional culture emerges from stories and dreamlike games passed down from generation to generation, like seeds of ancestral knowledge that she now brings into every corner of her life and work.

Inspired by Mexico’s pre-Hispanic and colonial roots, Judith creates colorful and approachable pieces that invite viewers to dream.

Her deepest wish is for others to become part of this world filled with light, memory, and color: the same universe in which she grew up, and to which she now returns with every stroke.
