Pauline Humruzian
Pauline Humruzian is a French visual artist based in Mexico whose practice encompasses painting, mural art, drawing, sculpture, and performance. She holds a degree in Art History and Archaeology and received her academic training at La Sorbonne.
Working across mixed media, Humruzian approaches her art as an act of translation: from the symbolic to the physical, from the intimate to the ritual, and from emotion to image. Her visual language merges surrealism, symbolism, and expressionism, creating scenes in which femininity emerges as a cyclical force—both sensual and mystical—challenging linear narratives of identity and transformation.
Her practice explores mythology and women’s history through a process of symbolic reclamation, revisiting figures, stories, and archetypes that challenge dominant narratives and reimagine the presence of women within the collective imagination.
Her work has been featured in various cultural venues and events, including the International Festival of Image, as well as recent exhibitions such as Art Capital and Beneath the Surface.
