Yuri Ángel Zárate

Yuri Ángel Zárate (Mexico City, 1968) is a visual artist with over three decades of experience. He studied at the National School of Visual Arts (UNAM), where he developed his personal style through graphic exploration and experimentation with diverse mediums.

His work has been featured in over 40 national and international group exhibitions, including the Museo de la Mujer, the Museum of the Revolution on the Border, and festivals such as KOMUN Art and Artfest Puebla. He has exhibited in Europe as well, with notable appearances at the European Museum of Modern Art (Barcelona) and the Confucius Institute in Portugal. His work is also part of permanent exhibitions at the Embassy of Mexico in Hungary and the Jardín del Arte in San Ángel.

In addition to his artistic practice, he has received recognition in the audiovisual field, winning awards at international animation festivals. His evolving artistic language seeks to engage with themes of memory, identity, and the human body through installations, drawing, performance, and graphic work.
